The Barossa Boy was once just ‘the little tacker’ to his parents, Helen and Grant. He enjoyed a free range Barossa childhood, scrawling bike tracks through the vineyards and making plenty of mischief.

Our Little Tacker GSM is the ultimate Barossa wine blend: fruitful, fun and youthful. Like an adventurous child it begins vibrant and full of lively fruitiness, then gradually reveals its underlying spice and complexity. Its deeper notes hint at hair-raising adventures, evocative of fearless and carefree outdoor days that stretched forever. To Trent, each mouthful is a reminder that every winding dirt path was part of the little tacker’s Barossa story, and led him right here today.

Vintage: 2024

Variety & Region: 53% Grenache | 24% Shiraz | 23% Mataro | 77% Barossa Valley | 23% Eden Valley

Vintage Summary: The 2024 growing season across Barossa and Eden Valley was marked by a warm, dry summer and early harvest. Barossa Valley reds show richness and concentration, while Eden Valley retains brightness and finesse, delivering balanced wines with depth, structure and regional distinction.

Winemaking Notes: Grenache and Mataro were hand-picked, while Shiraz was machine-harvested. Fermentation took place in open and plunger fermenters, using indigenous yeast for Grenache and commercial strains for Shiraz and Mataro. The wine matured for 18 months in 2,500-litre oak foudres, enhancing structure and complexity while preserving vibrant fruit character.

Tasting Notes

Bright crimson with ruby hues. Aromas of raspberry, plum and spice with hints of dried herbs. The palate is generous yet balanced, showing red fruits, subtle savoury notes and fine tannins. Enjoy with slow-cooked lamb shoulder or wood-fired pizza with prosciutto and rocket.
